Creative Visualization by Shakti Gawain

Today I want to share with you a book that launched me into a new way of living. It was the 80s and to me this line of thinking was novel. I had felt like a pinball in an old machine, chaotically bouncing from one thing to the next, reacting without much thought and without any clue about the effect my thinking and core beliefs were having on my experience.

I forget now who introduced me to this book and audio recording, but it opened my mind to the idea that I can be the director my own life. It was during the same time period as my bumper sticker epiphany, “thoughts are things”. There was lots of big time inner work going on in me during the 80s (my 20s).

The book is called Creative Visualization, by the late Shakti Gawain, who was a pioneer in metaphysics and new thought. The basic premise is that by using visualization and affirmations, we can manifest our desires and create positive changes in our lives. I had the cassette tape and remember listening to it over and over again, knowing that my mind was my greatest asset and that I had been misusing it.

I still think about the “pink bubble technique” and often use a version of it to prepave events around things I’m working to accomplish. I imagine my days unfolding with ease, and road trips being smooth and problem-free. I visualize details of my dreams coming true. I picture success instead of its opposite, which is fear-based.

Your mind is your greatest asset. Are you using it to its fullest capacity? Me neither, but I work at it every single day. Positive expectations are so important to success.

Part of what my blog and business are about have everything to do with my early adulthood lessons in the power of my thinking. I have coupled mindset training with an opportunity in digital marketing to help create a successful and abundant experience for myself and anyone else who would like to join me.

Please, enjoy a complementary PDF download of Creative Visualization (not for resale, but you are free to share it, as is), and join me in the best digital marketing program I’ve found, to date. If I can answer any questions, use the contact form at the top of the page and I will respond shortly.

Enough said,
Amy
