This idea sparked my journey to explore passive income. I’m not yet old, but I’m getting there, and my body doesn’t care to do any kind of manual labor anymore. I can work as hard as I ever did for 1 day, then I will need a week to recover. I wanted to flip that formula to be something more like: do the work in less time and make more money.
The only opportunity I am aware of where you can be paid many times after doing the work only once besides becoming a best-selling author on the NY Times list, is through digital marketing. Digital products are defined as anything that can be electronically delivered (downloaded), such as books, courses, apps, music, building plans, photos, digital art, etc.
How Digital Marketing Can Help You
You don’t have to be a young hipster. You don’t need to be a computer expert or a social media influencer, either. Digital marketing can help anyone supplement their business.
Here is just one example.
Health coaches work with people to improve their health, right? How does digital marketing apply to them? I can speak on this from a personal perspective.
I am a health coach and my passion is to help people avoid dementia and Alzheimer’s through simple diet and lifestyle changes. What I learned after years of obsessive study and 2 certification programs is that I have a hard time charging people money, especially old people who are sick. I had to find something a bit less personal that would help me create a good income so I could live and someday retire.
Try New Things
I tried being a virtual assistant, MLM marketing, and affiliate marketing. I had an online tea shop, another passion, for 6 years, but in my case it did not generate a positive cash flow. I considered a business to help elders downsize from big homes to assisted living. This was the moment I knew that physical labor is no longer for me.
Then I got sick. In 18 months, my savings was gone. I was a sick, broke health coach.
I had to give up my home and put my kitty in foster care in hopes of someday having another suitable home. It became urgent for me to find a promising and real source of income that I could physically handle into old age. No standing, lifting, or strenuous anything. No schedule would be nice, too.
I’d heard of digital marketing, but it seemed like another dead end. I bought a couple courses that left me feeling snookered. Then I came onto Legacy Builders, and after 7 months of tire kicking, I jumped in.

And there you have it; my issues around charging people were solved. No sticker shock; just good self-help information and the option to hire me at my going coach rates.
The book can be sold an unlimited number of times (passive income), and it helps sell the health course (digital product #2), which then brings individual clients who have no qualms paying the $3500 full program fee.
This is just an example of digital marketing at work. There are unlimited applications for this process and skillset.
So, for you, step one is to invest in a program to learn what you need to know about digital marketing. Prepare to learn a new skill and work at it over time. This won’t bring quick riches or overnight success; it’s a new skill you’ll be adding so you can pad your future. You’ll be led through it step-by-step.
